Short Term Testing: Charcoal Adsorption Test Kits Charcoal adsorption test kits are ideal for "screening" measurements. The test is accurate, quick (2-3 days), and the least expensive of all radon test methods. The EPA recommends short-term screening measurements as the first step in assessing the magnitude of radon levels in any structure. Each kit includes prepaid analysis, testing instructions, and a return envelope. Alpha Energy will report the data in any format you desire. |

Long Term Testing: Alpha Track Detectors This type of detector is used for long-term integrated measurements and are deployed for a period of 3 to 12 months. They are 2 to 3 times as expensive as a charcoal detector and are typically used for follow-up testing when elevated radon levels are indicated in screening tests. |
